Africa; My Story
On Wednesday, we were delighted to be joined by storyteller Sister Africa for her captivating presentation, “Africa; My Story.” Our children were taken on a beautifully vibrant journey into the heart of Africa and the Caribbean. Sister Africa, also known as Mama Africa, shared stories from her colourful childhood days to the darker moments of the slave trade. Through her storytelling, children experienced a range of emotions, from laughter to reflection, as they learned about the history and heritage of her ancestors. The assembly and workshops encouraged students to help ensure that these important stories and cultural legacies are never forgotten. It was a powerful and unforgettable experience for all involved.
